JANUARY
- On January 26th the Pemberton Township Police arrested Cesar Pellon, age 51, of Pemberton NJ at the Pemberton Township Police Department following an investigation for failing to register as a convicted sex offender within 10 days of moving to the municipality as required by Megan's Law. Pellon who was arrested earlier in the week during a motor vehicle stop by Pemberton Boro Police Department was identified as a fugitive and wanted by the Virginia State Police since September 2005. Further investigation revealed Pellon who is a convicted sex offender in the Commonwealth of Virginia had been residing in Pemberton Township since May of 2005 and failed to comply with the registration requirements. Pellon was processed for the arrest and the sex offender registry requirements and placed in the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 bail.
- The Pemberton Township Police Department has received a complaint from the Pemberton Township Education Association (PTEA) concerning irregularities in regards to payments for reimbursements made to the former president of the Pemberton Township Education Association (PTEA) Susette Ventura. PTEA president Sherry Scull reported that she and other members of the PTEA had concerns in regards to vouchers submitted for reimbursements for alleged expenses incurred by Ms. Susette Ventura,51 years old, Myron Drive, Wrightstown, NJ, while she was president from September 1998 until August of 2004 when Ms. Scull took office. These vouchers seemed excessive.
The Pemberton Township Police Department investigated the complaint. As part of the investigation, the PTEA had an audit conducted by the firm of Navak/Fracella. This audit revealed irregularities in payment for phone bills, mileage, NEA conventions, meetings, workshops and dinners. The amount in question exceeds $20,000.
Based upon the evidence uncovered during the investigation, a warrant was issued for Theft by Deception. On January 20th Ms Ventura was taken into custody. She is currently a teacher at the Helen Fort Middle School, Pemberton, NJ. She was served with the complaint, processed and released on her own recognizance. The case has been forwarded to the Burlington County Prosecutors Office for presentation to a Grand Jury.
- On January 22nd Pemberton Township Police were dispatched to Kinsley Rd, Pemberton after receiving a 911 call for a shooting. While at the scene police were notified that the victim, Jeraud Epps, 25, Orange, New Jersey, had checked in at Virtua Hospital of Mt. Holly with a gunshot wound to the left leg. The police investigation reveled that the victim and an unknown suspect were engaged in some type of altercation when the shooting occurred. The suspect fled the scene and the victim driven to the hospital by a friend. No motive has been determined for the shooting at this time. The victim was subsequently transferred to Cooper Trauma Center of Camden for Treatment. - On January 19th Pemberton Township Police were dispatched to Orange Ave after receiving a 911 call from the victim's neighbor that a burglary had taken place. The police investigation reveled that two suspects forcibly entered the victim's residence from the rear door. The victim, who was in the basement at the time, came upstairs and observed a black male standing in her living room. When the victim went to call police she was grabbed from behind by another suspect, (believed to be a white female) and held as the other suspect went into the victims bedroom. The suspects then fled the residence through the front door leaving the victim unharmed. The victim notified a neighbor who in turn called 911. The victim reported her purse missing. Anyone with information about this case or suspects is asked to contact the Pemberton Township Detective Division at 894-3310 or the Confidential Tip Line at 894-3352.

- On January 16th at 10:43 PM Pemberton Township Police were dispatched to W. Virginia Trail. Browns Mills for a 911 emergency call received from Glen Nelson Sr. reporting his son had been shot. The police investigation reveled that suspect(s) entered the residence from a unlocked rear door and confronted the occupants at gun point. John Nelson was shot in the face and Glen Nelson Sr. struck in the head with the handgun. A juvenile who was visiting at the time was not injured. The suspect(s) fled on foot after the shooting. John Nelson was transported by helicopter (South Star) to Cooper Trauma Center in Camden where he was admitted. Glen Nelson Sr. refused treatment at the scene. At this time no motive has been determined as to what led to the shooting. Patrol Officer Peter Delagarza responded to the scene and Detective Gabriele Willitts is continuing the investigation.

- Pemberton Township Police Department announce the arrest of three suspects in connection with a burglary on January 12th at Belly Buster General Store, located in the Browns Mills section of Pemberton Township. Officers observed a subject standing in the store parking lot after business hours and went to investigate. That subject and another fled on foot into the wooded area on Noteboom Ave and were taken into custody by police shortly thereafter. Officers arrested a third suspect who was found inside the store. All three suspects were committed to the Burlington Co. Jail on Burglary charges in lieu of $10,000.00 bail no 10%. The investigation on going and additional charges are pending.

- On February 3rd 2006, Pemberton Township Police in conjunction with members of the New Jersey State Police and K-9 units executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence of 3624 Weymouth Rd. Browns Mills. This warrant was the result of a narcotics investigation in which the sale and purchases of controlled dangerous substances were taking place. A quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia were seized from the residence. Additionally, several guns, prohibited weapons, surveillance and computer equipment, military style flack jacket and gas mask were also seized. Three suspects were arrested in connection with this investigation, Thomas Cunningham, age 46, Browns Mills. Aquilla Zenisek, age 38, Browns Mills NJ, Gerald Stinehart, age 52, Browns Mills NJ. The following is a list of their charges: Zenisek was charged with Possession of CDS Crack Cocaine and Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with the Intent to Distribute and Intent to Distribute in a School Zone, Possession of Prohibited Weapons, Operating a Fortified Drug Manufacturing Facility, and Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs not in their original containers. She was also charged with Certain Persons not to Possess Weapons. Zenisek was lodged in the Burlington County Detention Facility in default of $15,000.00. Cunningham was charged with Possession of CDS Crack Cocaine and Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with Intent to Distribute and Intent to Distribute in a School Zone, Possession of Prohibited Weapons, Operating a Fortified Drug Manufacturing Facility, and Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs not in their Original Containers. Thomas was lodged in the Burlington County Detention Facility in default of $5,000.00. Stinehart was charged with Possession of CDS Crack Cocaine and Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. - Drug Warrant Service At Three Locations / Arrests Made In Ongoing Investigation
On April 13, 2006, officers from the Pemberton Township Police Department served a search warrant at a residence at 222 Norcross Lane. The two subjects listed below were arrested. Assisting in the operation were members of the New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit, Troop C; NJSP K-9 Unit; and detectives from the Red Lion barracks.
Accused 1: Inell Sutton, 222 Norcross Lane, Pemberton, NJ, 29 years old He was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Accused 2: Belinda Flowers, 222 Norcross Lane, Pemberton, NJ, 57 years old. She was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
On April 13, 2006 officers of the Pemberton Township Police Department along with members of the New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit, Troop C; the NJSP K-9 Unit; and detectives from the Red Lion barracks served a search warrant at room 216 of the Budget Lodge. The below listed subjects were charged with various crimes as a result of the warrant search.
Accused 1: Raymond Davis, 13 Juliustown Rd, Browns Mills, NJ, 29 years old Charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Accused 2: Jade Flynn, 13 Juliustown Road, Browns Mills, NJ, 23 years old Charged with Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Marijuana.
Accused 3: Learon Gilford, 1101 South Brynwood Drive, Browns Mills, NJ, 33 years old Charged with Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
Accused 4: James McNeill, 114 Lemmon Avenue, Pemberton, NJ, 52 years old Charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On April 18, 2006 officers of the Pemberton Township Police Department along with members of the New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit Troop C, the NJSP K-9 Unit and detectives from the Red Lion barracks served a search warrant at 1104 Pemberton-Browns Mills Road. The below listed subjects were charged with various crimes as a result of the warrant search.
Accused 1: Pedro Rivera, 1104 Pemberton-Browns Mills Rd., Pemberton, NJ, 31 years old. Charged with Possession of Heroin; Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Accused 2: Maria Zayas, 1104 Pemberton-Browns Mills Rd., Pemberton, NJ, 38 years old Charged with Possession of Cocaine.
As part of an ongoing joint investigation with the New Jersey State Police, officers of the Pemberton Township Police Department have made 5 arrests for distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. The following are the persons arrested: Larry Hopkins, 3D Tara Lane, Browns Mills, NJ, 28 years old Michael Harris , 245 S Logan Street, Trenton, NJ, 19 years old. Danielle Custis, 17 Juliustown Rd., Browns Mills, NJ, 27 years old. James Goolsby, 14 Alden Avenue, Florence, NJ, 40 years old. Gary Taylor, 250 Hargrove Avenue, Browns Mills, NJ, 37 years old.
- On April 11th the Pemberton Township Police Department has executed a search warrant and arrested 4 persons and seized a quantity of drugs and weapons.
At 6:00 AM officers of the Pemberton Township Police Department along with members of the New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit, K-9 Unit and Troopers from the Red Lion Barracks executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Lakeview Blvd. The warrant was a result of an extended investigation by the Pemberton Township Police Department.
Arrested in the home were Christopher Bell, 23 years old, Lakeview Blvd, Browns Mills, NJ. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute; Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Possession of a Sawed Off Shotgun and Possession of Drug paraphernalia.
Havery Bell, 38 yrs old, Lakeview Blvd. Browns Mills, NJ He was charged with Possession of crack cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Shanika Perry, 27 yrs old, Harvard Road, Pemberton, NJ. She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Oxycontin).
Sonya Bracey, 40 Lakeview Blvd. Browns Mills, NJ. She was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Officers seized marijuana, cocaine, and Oxycontin as well as a sawed off shotgun. This is the 4th location in Pemberton Township where officers have executed search warrants as a result of various police investigations within the past 11 days.
- On March 31st, the Pemberton Township Police and the New Jersey State Police conducted a joint cooperative investigation which resulted in three operations this morning in Pemberton Township culminating in the arrest of 6 persons and a seizure of drugs, weapons and stolen property.
Beginning at 6:00 AM, units of the State Police including the TEAMS and K-9 Unit along with the Pemberton Township Police served search warrants at three residences.
At 252 Park Street, officers arrested Steve West, Jerry Hall and Barry Thomas and charged them with a number of crimes including Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Handgun and Stun Guns and Possession of Stolen Property. Officers recovered several stolen all terrain vehicles
At 163 Lemmon Avenue officers executed a search warrant and arrested Terrell Nelson and recovered marijuana and a handgun. Nelson was also charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
At 34 Clematis Street, officers arrested Darryl Baker and Shantelle Ricketts and charged them with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute as well as Possession of a Stun Gun.

- On May 3rd at 4:56 PM police officers responded to the Riggins Gas Station on Lakehurst Road in response to a reported fight in progress. Officers arrived on the scene to find the victim, , Scott Danser, 41 yrs old, Amboy Avenue,Roebling, NJ, bleeding from a wound on his left side abdomen. Victim was taken by helicopter to Cooper Medical Center. Suspect, Thomas Palfy, 29 yrs old, 538 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills, NJ, returned to his home which is located behind the Riggins Station. Officers arrived at the suspect's apartment and forced their way into the home where he was arrested. The victim was admitted to Capitol Health Systems at Fuld ( Trenton, NJ) with a knife wound to the stomach and abdomen. He is now in stable condition. The knife used in the attack has been recovered. The suspect was processed at the Pemberton Township Police Headquarters and lodged in the Burlington County Jail is lieu of $35,000 bail. . The fight had initially started at the County Lakes Car Wash on Lakehurst Road located a few hundred yards south of the gas station. The incident is still under investigation. Patrol Officers Shaun Myers and David Sawyer were the initial officers on the scene. Detective Anthony Muscella continues the investigation.
- Pemberton Township Police were dispatched on May 1st at approximately 2:30 AM to Larkspur St. Browns Mills after receiving an anonymous 911 call for a shooting victim. The police investigation revealed that the suspect, Raymond Porrata, 19, Browns Mills, and his brother, victim Ismael Porrata, 30, Maple Shade, were engaged in some type of verbal altercation in the roadway and were separated. Raymond was escorted into his residence by a friend in an attempt to end the argument. Raymond returned outside armed with a handgun and confronted his brother again at which time he fired one shot striking the victim. The victim received a gunshot wound through his right knee and lodged in his left shin. The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains wanted on a $50,000.00 Warrant by the Pemberton Township Police in connection to the shooting. The victim was transported by Vanguard Emergency Squad to Cooper Trauma Center of Camden for treatment and was subsequently released a short time later. Police warn that the suspect, Raymond Porrata, is to be considered "armed and dangerous". Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the suspect are warned not to approach him and asked to contact the Pemberton Township Police Department at 609-723-8300. Ptl. Perry Doyle initially responded to the scene and Detective Anthony Muscella continues the investigation. On May 1, 2006 at approximately 6:30 PM, Raymond Porrata, suspect in the shooting of his brother Ismael, turned himself in to the Pemberton Township Police. Raymond was driven to headquarters accompanied by his parents where he then surrendered. The suspect also provided information about the location of the .380 cal handgun used in the shooting which was subsequently recovered by police and secured. Porrata was processed and placed in the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bail. A computer check of the handgun was conducted, which resulted in a confirmation hit for stolen out of the State of Florida. An additional charge for Possession of Stolen Property is pending.

- On June 22, 2006, at approximately 7:00 P.M. Pemberton Township Police, in conjunction with members of the New Jersey State Police and K-9 units, executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence of 34 Clematis St., Browns Mills. This warrant was the result of a narcotics investigation in which the sale and purchase of controlled dangerous substances was taking place. A quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a scale were seized from the residence. The following were arrested: Darryl Baker, age 24, Browns Mills, N.J., Possession of CDS with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Evidence. Baker was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $15,000.00. Shantelle Ricketts, age 20, Browns Mills, N.J., Possession of CDS with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ricketts was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $10,000.00. Elisha Schilling, age 22, Browns Mills N.J., Possession of CDS Marijuana. She was processed and released on her own recognizance on a summons. Kevin Diamond, age 29, Browns Mills N.J., Possession of CDS Marijuana. He was processed and released on his own recognizance on a summons.

- Missing Person - Michael Ramminger, 37, was last seen on July 25th, 2006 in the Browns Mills section of Pemberton Township operating a 1990 Buick, 4 door, blue bearing New Jersey registration SBS33U. Mr. Ramminger, a white male, was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. Mr. Ramminger has recently been depressed and has been entered as a missing person with the Pemberton Township Police Department. - Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Pemberton Township Police Chief Stephen A. Emery released additional details today concerning the shooting and murder that occurred in Pemberton Township on Sunday, July 30, 2006. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered that two males had been shot. One victim, identified as Rigoberto Diaz-Hernandez, age 26, of 110 Lemon Avenue, Pemberton N.J. suffered a gun shot to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim has been identified as David Soto, age 26, of 143 Pemberton-Browns Mills Road, Pemberton Township. This victim remains at Cooper University Medical Center Trauma Unit in Camden, in critical condition. He was admitted to that facility on Sunday following the shooting and underwent surgery for multiple gunshot wounds to the head. The suspect in the shootings has been identified as Juan A. Gomez, age 24, whose last known address was 218 Norcross Lane, Pemberton N.J. The suspect remains at large and a warrant has been issued for his arrest in connection with the murder and shooting. The suspect fled the scene in an Infiniti, year unknown, color gold with Washington State license plates. The investigation has revealed that on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at approximately 6:14 p.m. the suspect drove on the property at 143 Pemberton-Browns Mill Road and approached both victims who were standing outside the house. Words were exchanged between Gomez and Diaz. Gomez returned to his vehicle and retrieved a handgun. Diaz was immediately shot by Gomez who then turned the gun on to David Soto and shot him. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain part of the on-going investigation. The murder is being investigation by the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and Pemberton Township police detectives. - On July 27, 2006, Pemberton Township Police executed a narcotics arrest warrant at Cheeks Lounge, 159 South Pemberton Road, Pemberton. This arrest warrant was the result of an ongoing criminal investigation in connection with the search warrant that was executed at Cheeks Lounge on July 13, 2006. The suspect Linda Dilullo, 54, Cherry Hill, N. J., was arrested, processed at police headquarters and lodged in the Burlington County Detention Facility in default of $5,000.00. Dilullo was charged with Possession of CDS (Suspected Heroin) and Possession with the Intent to Distribute.

- On July 21st at approximately 10:45 P.M. Pemberton Township Police were contacted by Virtua Hospital of Mt. Holly in reference to a shooting victim on location seeking medical treatment for a single gunshot wound. The preliminary police investigation revealed that the victim was shooting dice with several other subjects in the area of 181 Kinsley Road when an argument broke out between the victim and another subject. During the altercation the victim attempted to leave when he was shot in the abdomen by the suspect. The victim, Paul Crawley, 35, Browns Mills, was then driven to the hospital by a friend. The victim was subsequently transferred by ambulance to Cooper Trauma Center in Camden where he remains listed in stable condition. At this time no arrests have been made and the investigation is active and ongoing. - Pemberton Township Police were dispatched to the area of the Wawa Market, 7 Juliustown Rd., Browns Mills after receiving a 911 call for an attempted sexual assault victim. A preliminary investigation revealed that the female victim was sitting on a curb in the parking lot of the Budget Lodge waiting for a friend to go on break, who was working in the adjacent store. The victim, female age 25, East Brunswick, New Jersey, observed a male in the bordering shrubbery making her uncomfortable at which time she attempted to leave the area. The suspect accosted the victim then drug her to an unlit area of the parking lot were the assault was attempted. The victim was able to fend off her attacker and flee to the Wawa store where the police were alerted. This is an active investigation and the police department is pursuing all of its leads in an effort to identify the suspect and take him into custody. - Pemberton Township Police were dispatched to the area of Market St. Browns Mills after receiving a 911 call for a stabbing victim. While at the scene police determined that the victim James Brandt, age, 32, Browns Mills, NJ, had been stabbed multiple times with a filet knife at another location on West Lakeshore Dr. Police responded to the incident scene were they came in contact with a second victim, Susan Garlanger, age 48, Mt. Laurel, NJ, who had a laceration to her right hand. The suspect, Patrick Clarke, age 54, Browns Mills, NJ, fled the scene and was located in a canoe on Little Pine Lake in the rear of his residence. Clarke refused the officer's commands to return to land and was eventually coaxed close enough to shore where he was taken into custody after a brief struggle. A preliminary investigation revealed that James Brandt came to Patrick Clarke's residence looking for his female friend. Neither subject knew the other and an argument and physical altercation ensued. Brandt was stabbed in the shoulder, left forearm and rear left thigh. He was transported to Virtua Hospital of Mt. Holly where he was treated and released. During the altercation Garlanger, who was visiting at the time, intervened to separate them and was slashed on the right hand. Garlanger was treated at the police station. The weapon was subsequently recovered and the investigation is continuing with additional charges pending. Patrick Clarke was charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Aggravated Assault on Police, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction, Disorderly Conduct. Clarke was lodge in the Burlington County Jail in default of $25.000 bail. Ptl. Thomas Lucas initially responded to the scene and Det. Jay Saville continues the investigation.

- On July 13, 2006, the Pemberton Township Police, in conjunction with members of the New Jersey State Police, executed a search warrant at Cheeks Lounge, 159 South Pemberton Road, Pemberton New Jersey. This search warrant was the result of an ongoing criminal investigation into reports of prostitution and other illegal activities which were taking place at that location. Officers arrested 6 individuals and they were charged with prostitution. Each was lodged in Burlington County Jail - Minimum Security facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. Arrested were: Matilde Verducci, 49, Newark, NJ; Eliete D. Cruz, 45, Freehold, NJ; Rozilda Fiusa-Branca, 36, Newark, NJ; Nilza Mazon, 36, Delran, NJ; Keila Alves, 29, Hilllside, NJ and Rosena Mazon-Cesario, 28, Riverside, NJ Police contacted the Pemberton Township Inspections Department who after inspecting the building, ordered it closed due to unsafe building modifications. The investigation is still ongoing.

- On August 12th at approximately 2:12 A.M. Pemberton Township Police were alerted by police dispatch to a report of a subject who had just been the victim of an assault and robbery and fled from the scene of the attack in his vehicle. Police dispatch reported that during the course of the attack, the victim, age 49, Vincentown, N.J. was able to activate his vehicle ON-STAR system prompting police notification of the incident. The victim drove to police headquarters where he was treated by emergency medical technicians then transported to Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly by emergency squad. He was treated for his injuries and subsequently released a short time later. The police investigation revealed that the victim had driven to Kinsley Road in the area of Sunbury Village to pick up a friend who contacted him for a ride home. The victim was unable to locate the friend and when he stopped his vehicle in the area of Kinsley and Emmons Rd, he was attacked and assaulted while still in his vehicle. During the attack the victims' wallet was taken. The victim was able to activate the vehicle On-Star system and fend off his attackers enough to flee the area. Lamont Brown, age 34, Pemberton N. J., was identified as one of the attackers and at this time a warrant is issued for his arrest in connection to the robbery. Two other suspects, both black males are also being sought. The investigation is still ongoing as to the identity of the other attackers. Brown is to be considered dangerous. - On August 11, 2006 Pemberton Township Police, in conjunction with members of the New Jersey State Police and K-9 Units executed an arrest and search warrant at 350 Lakehurst Rd. Apartment 5B, Browns Mills (Pemberton Township). This warrant was the result of a narcotics investigation in which the sale and purchases of controlled dangerous substances were taking place. A search of the apartment revealed a large quantity of packaged crack cocaine, powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug distribution. Also located within the apartment was a loaded (stolen) handgun. Pedro Dennis, 38, Browns Mills, was taken into custody without incident and transported to police headquarters for processing, then transported to the Burlington Co. Jail. - On November 1st Pemberton Township Police were alerted by central police dispatch to a report of the subject, a 30 year old Mt Holly resident, who had just been the victim of an armed robbery. Dispatch advised that the victim fled the scene of the attack in his vehicle and was directed to police headquarters. The police investigation revealed that the victim had driven to the area of Sunbury Village to visit a friend. While in the area of Norcross Lane he engaged in conversation with a group of subjects that he was familiar with. At one point one subject within the group led the victim away from the others and subsequently robbed him with a handgun at gun point for an undetermined amount of cash. The victim was able to flee the area unharmed at which time he notified police of the incident. Robert (Bobby) Brown, 31, of Pemberton was identified as the attacker and at this time a warrant has been issued for his arrest with bail set at $50,000. No 10% in connection to the robbery. The investigation is still ongoing. Brown is to be considered Armed and Dangerous.

- A resident of Kelsonville Road reported the home was entered during the daytime hours. Ptl. Keith Stahl filed the report.
- On December 3rd at approximately 2:40 A.M. Pemberton Township Police Patrol Officers responded to a holdup alarm from a Wawa convenience store. This Wawa is located in the Country Lakes section of Browns Mills (558 Lakehurst Rd.). Employees at the Wawa reported that a black male subject entered the store wearing a ski mask, produced a handgun and demanded cash from the register and the store safe. After receiving the cash (approximately 2100 dollars) the suspect left the scene in a vehicle that was waiting for him in the parking lot. None of the store employees were harmed during this robbery.
Patrol officers were quickly able to identify the subjects involved. They began responding to different residences around the Township in order to make arrests.
The initial investigation revealed that the handgun used in this robbery was actually a pellet gun. This pellet gun was modified to resemble a real firearm. A large amount of the cash taken from the Wawa has been recovered and returned to store management. Michael Anderson, 19, 45 Aster Street, Browns Mills, a store employee, has been arrested for his involvement in this robbery. He has been placed in the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. The two male juveniles, a 17 year old and a 15 year old, that were involved have been placed in the Burlington County Juvenile Detention Center. All three subjects involved have been charged with robbery. The 15 year old juvenile has also been charged with weapons offenses.
